Every single month, on the third Friday. Seriously, every single third Friday, we open our doors for everyone to experience the magic that MADE has to offer. Check out the maker market for locally-created products (some created right here at MADE and across the street at Third Degree Glass Factory), demonstrations, experiences, cocktails (and kiddy cocktails), and music. Third Fridays at MADE are a great way to start the third weekend with an inspiring and educational experience. Plus, make it a double feature and hop (carefully, please) just across the street to Third Degree Glass Factory, where the original Third Friday began. Over there, check out live glass blowing demonstrations, a full glass and fine art gallery, fire performances, and live music. Food trucks are on-site for most of these events as well. See you next (third) Friday. These are events are family friendly. There is something to find for kids and kids at heart, alike.
Get a live look from our staff and resident makers at anything and everything possible within our four walls. Each Third Friday has a different demonstration to experience, so if you didn’t get a look at the laser cutter or 3D printer the first time, come back and see more of what the space and our makers have to offer. The professionals that create at MADE are always showing a unique perspective where you may have always thought, “How do they make that?”
Are you more of a hands-on learner? Tired of just watching and want to get some sawdust on those jeans? Third Fridays at MADE offer real-world experiences so you can show up empty handed, sign a waiver, and leave proudly with your ornament, chocolate mold, bird house, or whatever we’re feeling this month. Personally and custom-made items make a great addition to your own collection or a great gift for that hard-to-buy for birthday or holiday coming up.
Take it from our professional, experienced staff and get a behind-the-scenes look at a day in the life of a maker at MADE. From laser cutting, and 3D printing, to working with textiles and screen printing, and everything in between, you’ll get a little taste of what the space has to offer. If after the tour, your appetite is only growing stronger, your tour guide can walk you through the process of becoming an official MADE maker and finally creating that next big thing you’ve had written in a notebook for years.
