The horizontal band saw is a liquid cooled saw capable of making straight cuts in mild steel, aluminum and other non-ferrous metals. Unlike a vertical band saw, the material stays stationary while blade drops down and automatically cuts the metal. The saw is hydraulically controlled so you can set the correct speed for your material. The saw automatically finishes the cut and turns itself off. Since the workpiece is clamped into a vise and the blade moves automatically, this saw can make more precise cuts than a vertical band saw.
