A vinyl cutter is used to cut shapes and patterns created on a computer into vinyl (a thin, sticky-backed plastic on paper backing – basically a sticker). Cut vinyl is used for signs, stencils, banners, vehicle decals, paint or sand blasting masks, or patterns for silk screening. The machine uses a very fine blade held in a casing that allows it to pivot freely as it moves around the vinyl to cut the shapes you design. To use the vinyl cutter, you will need to design a vector file, load your material, check your settings, and start your cut.
